She was a Post Mistress at an early age at Whitewright, Texas. She had to
resign when she got married because the Federal Government would not
employ married women. She was a machine operator for Pool Manufacturing
most of her life. She took great joy in how long she had worked there
and that she knew everyone that had worked there by their first names.
She took even greater joy knowing they all knew her by her first name.
She worked at Pools for over 45 years.
