Mary Dorcas Jones 
Mary Dorcas was born on December 26th, 1880 in Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 Mary Dorcas' father was Thomas Bloomfield Jones and her mother was Marha Ann Frances Teel. Her paternal grandparents were Wesley Jones and Martha Callaway; her maternal grandparents were Calvin Teel and Sarah Louise Griffin. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Alphonso Rinaldo, Calvin Thomas, Goldson Cincinnatus, Grover Cleveland, Ella Bethany, Ida Louise, Senie Tilithy Jane, Emily Missouri and Martha Frances. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 83 on January 1st, 1964 in Canutillo, El Paso Co., TX. She was buried in Anthony, Dona Ana, New Mexico.1 1 General Notes

Mary Dorcas Jones died in her home about two miles west of Canutillo ,
Texas.
Her home was on Westside Road about 100 yards into New Mexico. She told
her granddaughter, Annabell Lee Denton Lines, on several occasions that
her (Mary's) mother had told her several times that she was named after
women of the bible. In Acts there is a woman named Dorcas. It is assume
d that this (Dorcas) is the correct spelling of her middle name.
