John Hughes

John was born on February 6th, 1791.¹ John's father was George Hughes and his mother was Rhoda Garrett. His maternal grandparents were Edward II Garrett and Ann West Ousley. He had five brothers and a sister, named William H., Thomas, Edward, Aaron, Moses and Anna. He was the oldest of the seven children.
