Mattie E. was born on November 13th, 1889 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Mattie E.'s father was Marcus Lafayette Hosey and her mother was Frances Louise Logan. Her maternal grandparents were Bloomfield Logan and Milley Hutto. She had four brothers and three sisters, named William Hudson, Julius H., Marcus Matthew, James Know, Roxie Ann, Lillian M. and Minnie. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 89 in July 1979 in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL.1 -
