Marcus Matthew was born on March 7th, 1888 in Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 Marcus Matthew's father was Marcus Lafayette Hosey and his mother was Frances Louise Logan. His maternal grandparents were Bloomfield Logan and Milley Hutto. He had three brothers and four sisters, named William Hudson, Julius H., James Know, Roxie Ann, Mattie E., Lillian M. and Minnie. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 76 in June 1964 in Chilton Co., AL. He was buried in Grove Cemetery, Chilton Co., AL.1 1 -
