George Roland was born on September 16th, 1917 in Lafayette Co., MS.1 George Roland's father was Joseph Alonzo Harding and his mother was Lottie M. Brewer. His paternal grandparents were Ferdinand S. Harding and Emily Elizabeth Baker. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Russell Eugene, Earl E., Joseph, Elizabeth and Anna Lee. He had three half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Roy, Clarence, Chelsie, Dovie, Blanch, Claudia, Leisley and Thelma. He died at the age of 65 on April 29th, 1983 in MS.
