Hines Holt was born on August 6th, 1847 in Coosada, Autauga Co., AL.1 Hines Holt's father was Bolling II Hall and his mother was Mary Louisa Crenshaw. His paternal grandparents were Bolling I Hall and Jane Abercrombie; his maternal grandparents were Abner Crenshaw and Charlotte Perry Elmore. He had eight brothers and three sisters, named Bolling III, Crenshaw, James Abercrombie, John Elmore, Thomas Brown, Joseph Eugene, Franklin Abner, Charles Edward, Mary Louisa, Laura June and Caroline Sophia. He was the sixth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 82 on October 15th, 1929 in The Elms, Elmore Co., AL.
