Lottie Maye was born on December 2nd, 1900 in Weogufka, Coosa Co., AL.1 Lottie Maye's father was Charles Henry Grimes and her mother was Nancy Annie Miller. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Martin Grimes and Mahala S. Goss; her maternal grandparents were Henry Walter Miller and Mary Fannie Vansandt. She had three brothers and a sister, named Henry Walter, Thomas Martin, Sr., Wilmer Goss and Lessie Ellice. She was the third oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 47 on January 27th, 1948 in Bessemer, AL. She was buried in Weogufka First Baptist Church Cemetery, Coosa Co., AL. Lottie married Felix Stewart on ? at? They were classmates in school
based on pictures I found. They resided in B'ham most of the time. Felix
drank alot and blew money on fur coats, cars, etc. They had two
children, Evard Roland and Eloise "Jenny". Evard was born on Oct. 2,
1921 and Eloise was born on Sept. 3, 1923. She looked like a movie star.
She married George Boyd on Feb. 3, 1944 and they adopted three children.
She died in 1994 of lung cancer. Evard married Olerah Harris and they
had one daughter named Jerry. He died in 1987?. Lottie died on Jan.27,
1948 in Bessemer, AL. She had a stroke or a heart attack. Felix
remarried a woman named Nettie. He and Nettie lived at the Darden Place
beside the Grimes place. He is buried between Lottie and Nettie at the
First Baptist Cemetary in Weogufka along with the rest of the family.
