Cynthia Susan Grimes 
Cynthia Susan was born on March 1st, 1894.1 Cynthia Susan's father was James Shorter Grimes and her mother was Malissa Tillis. Her paternal grandparents were John William Grimes and Julia Ann Garrett. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named John Temple, James Robert, Joshua Franklin, Surley Druiah, Eugene Augusta, Horace Spurgein, Clem Euriah, Morgan Sanford, Lillian Leona, Fannie Malissa, Julia Evelyn, Mary Elizabeth and Ellen Shorter. She was the fifth youngest of the fourteen children. She had a half-brother named Horace Spurgeon.-
