William David Green 
William David was born on October 3rd, 1875 in Claiborne Parish, LA.1 William David's father was David Wiggins Green and his mother was Martha Wilson. His maternal grandparents were John\Jonas Wilson and Nacy Love. He had two sisters named Mary E. and Della. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 75 on May 6th, 1951 in Union Parish, LA. He was buried in Mt. Nebo Methodist Ch. Cemetery, north of Downsville, Union Parish, LA.1 1 General Notes

"After the old building (Mt. Nebo Church) had been torn down, they were
read immediately to start with the new one. Mr. Wattie Wilson was chosen
to be the leading carpenter and to oversee the work. The actual building
of the church was done by Mr. Wilson with volunteered labor from the
church members. Mr. Bill Green was keeping up with the expenditures. He
became apprehensive as the money was diminishing quite rapidly, and he
asked Mr. Wilson if there were some way he could cut down on the
expensives. It was amusing to Mr. Wilson that when the building eas
completed, there was five dollars left in the building fund." (1)
