Osmond was born on December 15th, 1890 in AL.1 Osmond's father was Charles Hewey Green and his mother was Nancy Josephine McEwen. His maternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named John M., Benjamin H., George Curtin, Lewel B., Charles Morris, E. V., William P., Robert Melton, Francis Cyle, Norma Golden and Lillian I.. He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 32 on November 5th, 1923 in AL.
