George Curtin was born on March 29th, 1892 in Shelby Co., AL.1 George Curtin's father was Charles Hewey Green and his mother was Nancy Josephine McEwen. His maternal grandparents were Francis Marion McEwen and Lena Olive Ransome Melton. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named John M., Benjamin H., Osmond, Lewel B., Charles Morris, E. V., William P., Robert Melton, Francis Cyle, Norma Golden and Lillian I.. He was the fifth oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 8 on September 10th, 1900 in Shelby Co., AL.
