Hilliard Gavin

Hilliard was born in May 1887.¹ Hilliard's father was Stephen Blocker Gavin and her mother was Sady ?. Her paternal grandparents were Charles W. Gavin and Mary Ann Garrett. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Jefferson, Elizabeth, Emily, Matilda and Gracie. She was the second oldest of the seven children.
