Mary Ann Garrett 
Mary Ann was born in 1829.1 Mary Ann's father was Joshua, Jr. Garrett and her mother was Nancy Cope. Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Bernard Garrett and Mary Jane Taylor. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Monroe, William Carroll, George W., Newton Smith, Joshua Winchester, Tennessee and Rebecca Jane. She was the third oldest of the eight children.-
