John and Jeff had eleven children between 1869 and 1894, all except the
first four who were born at Alexandria, were born at Ashville RFD#1.
Between 1868 and 1875 they lived and farmed in a house owned by Isaac
Manley Ford, John's father and a part of the Ford Farm described as
Precinct #4, House #55, Family # 55 in the 1870 Census Records.
John Wofford and Jeffalonia were married in a religious ceremony on January 16th, 1868 in Oxford, Calhoun Co., AL.1 They had five sons and six daughters, named William, Isaac Mellard, Michael Bishop, Thomas Cameron, Perry Napoleon, Sophia Elizabeth, Mary Della, Josie Ellen, Anna Wofford, Emma Amelia and Ida Elaine.
