Marion J. was born in 1838.¹ Marion J.'s father was James Flowers and her mother was Elizabeth Graham. Her paternal grandparents were Roland Flowers and Ann Garrett. She had three brothers and two sisters, named William H., Levi, Roland, Angelina and Susan Jane. She was the youngest of the six children.
