William Augustus Elmore 
William Augustus was born on October 13th, 1812 in SC.1 William Augustus' father was John Archer Elmore and his mother was Nancy Ann Martin. His paternal grandparents were Archelas Elmore and Susannah Morris; his maternal grandparents were John Martin and Elizabeth Dickerson Terry. He had nine brothers and four sisters, named John Archer, Jr., Morris Martin, Luther Alfred, Henry Marshall, Laurence Ludlow, Physick Rush, Winfield Scott, Albert Standhope, James Scott, Susan Elizabeth, Sarah Terry, Mary Martin and Ann Harriet. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Benjamin Thomas, Franklin Harper, Narcissa, Sophia Saxon and Charlotte Perry. He died at the age of 79 in 1891 in Philadelphia, PA.1 General Notes
