Velma Howard Elliott 
Velma Howard was born on October 29th, 1888 in Emory, Rains County, texas.1 Velma Howard's father was Simon Peter Elliott and her mother was Mary Elisa Castleberry. Her maternal grandparents were Andrew Jackson Castleberry and Mary Ann Williams. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Bernard Scott, Robbie Lee, Sue Eula, Ella, Emma, Eva Blanche and Bettie Cain. She was the third youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 83 on May 20th, 1972. She was buried in Emory City Cemetery, Rains County, Texas.1 1 -
