Thomas Melton was born on July 30th, 1911 in AL.1 Thomas Melton's father was Walter Lee Dobson and his mother was Harriet McCary Waldrip. His paternal grandparents were Rainer B. Dobson and Harriet Ann Carlisle; his maternal grandparents were Asa Melton Waldrip and Martha Thomas Sears. He had a brother and four sisters, named Freddie Lee, Eva, Lois, Annie Lucile and Mary Margerett. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named William Lee, Walter Franklin, Claude Terry and Living. He died at the age of 89 on January 13th, 2001 in Birmingham, Jefferson Co., AL.1 -
