Arthur Lee Cox

Arthur Lee was born on April 9th, 1896 in LA.¹   Arthur Lee's father was James W. Cox and his mother was Mary F. (?). He had four brothers and a sister, named Grover C., Reuben, Horace W., William D. and Eunice L..  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 90 in October 1986 in LA.¹ 

‌Arthur Lee and Myrtle were married in a religious ceremony on July 19th, 1919 in Downsville, Union Parish, LA.¹   They had two sons and three daughters, named Arthur Lee, Jr., Living, Thelma Mae, Living and Living.

  Myrtle and Arthur encountered a preacher while traveling (by hourse &
  buggy) on Cox Ferry Road and had the preacher marry them in the middle of
  road. Told to Dorothy Earthorne by their son, James Cox.
