Penelope was born about 1758 in NC.1 Penelope's father was Thomas Castellaw and her mother was Mary Hand. Her paternal grandparents were James, Sr. Castellaw and Sarah Williams; her maternal grandparents were Peter Hand and Ann Dept. She had a brother and two sisters, named Peter, Ann and Charlotte Castilo. She was the second youngest of the four children. She had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas, William, Henry and Sarah Lee. She died on December 28th, 1835 in Barnwell Co., SC.1 -
