Levi was born in 1795 in Bertie Co., NC.1 Levi's father was John Castellaw and his mother was Penelope Mitchell. His paternal grandparents were John Castellaw and Martha Sarah Butler. He had a brother and two sisters, named Asa, Elizabeth and Nancy. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 82 on December 7th, 1877 in Bertie Co., NC.1 -
