Castellaw and Elizabeth Cobb; her maternal grandparents were William Castellaw and Sarah Mitchell. She had five brothers and six sisters, named William Larry, Larry, Starkey, James Turner, John Downing, Elizabeth, Drucilla, Sally Frances, Martha Ann, Adaline and Penelope Ritta.
