Richard Alexander was born on June 26th, 1917 in Marianna, Lee Co., AR.1 Richard Alexander's father was Richard Henry Boone and his mother was Edna Irene Goodwin. His maternal grandparents were Asa Edward Goodwin and Josephine Elizabeth Stewart. He had a sister named Infant Girl. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jack Goodwin, Living and Living. He died at the age of 67 on January 25th, 1985 in Memphis, Shelby Co., TN. Richard, was called R. A. by most who knew him. He was raised by his
mother and stepfather, Jesse Green Phillips. His mother Edna Goodwin
married Jesse when R.A. was only two and half years old.

Richard Alexander Boone was our half-brother. However, there was
never any half thing about it, considered by his Phillips brothers and
sisters. He was always considered just "Big Brother".He was not only a
brother, but sometimes a Daddy. He could always be counted on to help
with anything you needed: moral support, money, but most of all he just
loved you. He is missed.
