Solomon Barfield 
Solomon was born on June 8th, 1765 in Sampson Co., NC.1 Solomon's father was Jesse Francis Barfield and his mother was Sarah Castellaw. His paternal grandfather was Richard Barfield; his maternal grandparents were James, Sr. Castellaw and Sarah Williams. He had five brothers and a sister, named Frederick, Stephen, Lewis, John, Thomas and Carity. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 18 in 1783 in NC.1 General Notes
