Mary Josephine Anderton

Mary Josephine was born on December 7th, 1856 in AL.¹   Mary Josephine's father was William Preston Anderton and her mother was Elizabeth Bayne.  Her paternal grandparents were William Anderton and Nancy Parham. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas Julian, Edmond, Henry Wilkerson, Martha Nancy, Sarah K. and Maggie Lavorah.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 77 on June 1st, 1934 in AL.  She was buried in Hardshell Cemetery, Lawrence Co., AL.^1 1 

‌Mary Josephine and William Z. were married in a religious ceremony on August 1st, 1880 in Lawrence Co., AL.¹   They had a daughter named Jane Maude.
