John Anderton 
John was born in 1844 in Blount Co., AL.1 John's father was James Berry, Jr. Anderton and his mother was Martha Crabtree. His paternal grandparents were James Berry, Sr. Anderton and Mary Cantrell. He had three brothers and four sisters, named James, Jasper, William, Lucinda, Rebecca, Isabella and Nancy. He was the oldest of the eight children. He had two half-sisters named Elizabeth and Emily. He died in ?.1
