James A. Anderton 
James A. was born in 1848 in Blount Co., AL.1 James A.'s father was William Anderton and his mother was Artimissia (?). His paternal grandparents were James Berry, Sr. Anderton and Mary Cantrell. He had four brothers and a sister, named Caleb, Jesse B., Levi Daniel, William M. and Mary E.. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died in ?.1 
James A. and Arabella were married in a religious ceremony in 1862 in AL.1 They had five sons and two daughters, named William, Stephen Alexander, John W., Riley, Warren, Caroline and Mary Jane.
