John Wesley Vance

John Wesley was born in 1815 in Logan,WVA.¹   John Wesley's father was Richard Vance and his mother was Mary Ann Sims.  His paternal grandparents were Abner , Sr. Vance and Susanna Howard; his maternal grandmother was Mary Ann Simms. He had seven brothers and a sister, named William, Abner, Richard , Jr, Meekin, Harlin, Paris L., Lewis G. and Mary "Polly".  He was the second oldest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 71 on June 10th, 1886 in Ky.¹
