Abner Vance

Abner was born in 1815.¹   Abner's father was Richard Vance and his mother was Mary Ann Sims.  His paternal grandparents were Abner , Sr. Vance and Susanna Howard; his maternal grandmother was Mary Ann Simms. He had seven brothers and a sister, named William, John Wesley, Richard , Jr, Meekin, Harlin, Paris L., Lewis G. and Mary "Polly".  He was the third oldest of the nine children.
