John Burgess 
John was born in March 1882 in Iowa. John's father was Samuel Laverne Burgess and his mother was Maria Hartshorn/ Mariah . His paternal grandparents were UNKNOWN Burgess and UNKNOWN Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Emmanuel Elisha Hartshorn and Margaret Morgan. He had four brothers and four sisters, named William, Clarence, Baby Boy, Vernie Ray, Josie, Ettie, Maggie and Arvilla. He died at the age of 72 in 1954.General Notes
