Marguerite Capet was born in 1279 in Paris, France.  Marguerite Capet's father was Philippe III the Bold le Hardi King of France and her mother was Marie de Brabant.  Her paternal grandparents were St. Louis IX Capet King of France and Marguerite Berenger de Provence; her maternal grandparents were Henri de Brabant III Duc de Brabant and Alix de Burgundy. She had a brother and a sister, named Louis Capet de France and Blanche. She had four half-brothers named Louis Capet, Philippe IV the Fair Capet, Robert Capet and Charles III de Valois Capet.  She died in Marlborough Castle, Wiltshire, England.


Marguerite Capet's family with Edward I Longshanks King of England

‌Marguerite Capet and Edward I Longshanks were married in a religious ceremony on September 10th, 1299 in Canterbury Cathedral, Kent, England.  They had two sons and a daughter, named Thomas de Brotherton, Edmund Plantagenet of Woodstock and Eleanor.
