Adeliza was born in 1069 in Tunbridge, Kent, England. Adeliza's father was Richard "de Tonbridge" "de Clare" FitzGilbert and her mother was Rohese ROHESE Giffard. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert "Crispin" d'Eu , Count de Brionne and Gunnora d'Aunou; her maternal grandparents were Walter "The Elder" Giffard , Lord and Agnes Ermentrude Fleitel. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Roger, Walter, Richard, Robert (Fitzrichard), Gilbert FitzRichard, Rohese Fitzrichard, Unknown and Ronais Fitz. She was the youngest of the nine children. She died about 1138 in England.-
