Richard Gwyn was born in 1440.  Richard Gwyn's father was Llewllyn Arwyl ap Rhys and his mother was Joan verch GRIFFITH.  His paternal grandparents were Rhys ap LLEWELLYN and Margaret BASSET; his maternal grandfather was Griffith ap HOWEL GAM.  He was an only child.

They had a son named Lewis.
