Roger La was born about 1278 in Lubbesthorpe MAN, Leicestershire, England. Roger La's father was Eudo (Eon) La Zouche and his mother was Millicent De Cantilupe. His paternal grandparents were Sir Knight Alan La Zouche Sir Knight and Elena De Helen De Quincy; his maternal grandparents were William De Cantilupe and Eva Braose. He had six brothers and four sisters, named William La, George La, Eudes La, Emery La, Philip La, Thomas La, Elizabeth La, Lucy La, Eve La and Joan La. He was the third oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-sister named Ellen (Eleanor) La. He died about 1303.General Notes
