Edith De was born about 1076 in Lewes, Sussex, England.  Edith De's father was William I De Warenne 1st Earl Of Surrey and her mother was Gundrada Of Fleming [Princess].  Her paternal grandparents were Ralph II De Ralph De Warenne and Emma De St. Martin; her maternal grandparents were William I "The Conqueror" King Of England [King England] and Matilda (Maud) Flanders [Queen England]. She had two brothers and a sister, named William De, Reginald De and Gundred De.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
