Ada de was born about 1122 in Lewes, Sussex, England.  Ada de's father was William de Warenne , 2nd Earl of Surrey and her mother was Isabel Elizabeth de Vermandois.  Her paternal grandparents were William de Warenne , 1st Earl of Surrey and Gundred of Flanders; her maternal grandparents were Hugh de Crepi Magnus , Duke of Burgundy and Adelaide de Vermandois. She had two brothers and a sister, named William de, Reginald de and Gundred de.  She was the second youngest of the four children. She had two half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Robert II de, Waleran de, Adeline de, Isabel Elizabeth de, Eleanor de, Alice de and Maud de.  She died in 1178 in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England.
