Luitgarde de was born about 0920 in Vermandois, Normandy, France. Luitgarde de's father was Herbert II Count of Troyes & Vermandois and her mother was Liegarde Princess of France. Her paternal grandparents were Herbert I Count of Vermandois and Bertha (Beatrice) de Morvois; her maternal grandparents were Robert I King of France and Aelis. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Robert I Comte de Meaux &, Albert I "The Pious" Count of, Renaud I Seigneur de, Sprota Adela de and Alix de. Note: line 121e does not agree with the other two lines in Luitgarde's death date. I believe that it is in error, maybe referring to William I's death in 942. Also note that Theobald I, Count of Blois, was involved in William I's treachorous ambush and murder in 942 and married Luitgarde, his widow, the next year 943.
