Adelaide de was born about 1050 in Valois now Oise, Picardy, France.  Adelaide de's father was Herbert IV Count of Vermandois and her mother was Adela de Vexin.  Her paternal grandparents were Otho Count of Vermandois and Parvie; her maternal grandparents were Raoul III "The Great" Count of Valois & Vexin and Adele de Bar-Sur-Aube.  She was an only child.  She died on September 23rd, 1120 in Vermandois, Normandy, France.
