Adelaide of was born about 1092 in Maurienne, Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France.  Adelaide of's father was Humbert II Count de Maurienne & Savoy and her mother was Gisela of Burgundy.  Her paternal grandparents were Amadeo II Count of Savoy and Johanna de Geneva; her maternal grandparents were William I "The Great" Count of Macon & Burgundy and Stephanie (Etiennette) de Longwy. She had a brother and a sister, named Amadeo III Count of and Agnes of.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William V Margrave of and Jeanne de.  She died on November 18th, 1154.
