Sigurd "Snake in Eye"'s father was Ragnar Lodbrock and his mother was Aslaug Sigurdsdottir.  His paternal grandfather was Sigurd Ring; his maternal grandfather was Sigurd Wolsung. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Bjorn, Halfdan Ragnarsson "White Shirt" King of, Ivar Ragnarsson "the boneless" King of, Alof and Ragnhildir.

He had a biological son named Horda-Knut.
