William VII Count of was born on October 22nd, 1071 in Aquitaine, France.  William VII Count of's father was William VI Guy Count of Poitou , VIII d'Aquitaine and his mother was Hildegarde (Audearde) of Burgundy.  His paternal grandparents were William III Count of Poitou , V Duke d'Aquitaine and Agnes of Burgundy; his maternal grandparents were Robert I "The Old" Duke of Burgundy and Helie (Ella) de Semur. He had a half-sister named Agnes de.  He died in Poitiers, Vienne, Poitou, France.
