Maria de was born about 1145 in Antakya (Antioch), Hatay, Turkey.  Maria de's father was Raimond de Poitou , Prince of Antioch and her mother was Constance de Hauteville , Princess of Antioch.  Her paternal grandparents were William VII Count of Poitou , IX Duke d'Aquitaine and Philippa (Maud\Matilda) de Toulouse; her maternal grandparents were Bohemond II Prince of Antioch and Alix de Rethel. She had a half-sister named Agnes de.  She died on August 22nd, 1182 in Murdered by Andronicus I Comnenus, the usurper.
