Mathilde was born in 1156 in London, England. Mathilde's father was Henry II Plantagenet King of England and her mother was Elbeonore Duchess of Aquitaine. Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V Comte Du Maine et D'Anjou and Matilda (Maud) Empress of Germany; her maternal grandparents were William X Duke of Aquitaine and Eleanor De Chastellerault. She had three brothers and a sister, named John "Lackland" King of, Geoffrey of, Richard Plantagenet I King of and Eleanor Princess of. She had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named William, Agnes Capet Princess of, Marie Capet Princess Of, Mary Capet Princess of and Alice Capet Princess of. She died at the age of 33 on June 28th, 1189 in Germany.-
