Eleanor was born in 1303 in Grismond Castle, Monmouthshire, England.  Eleanor's father was Henry III Earl of Lancaster & Leicester and her mother was Maud De Chaworth.  Her paternal grandparents were Edward I "Longshanks" King of England and Blanche of Artoise; her maternal grandparents were Patrick De Chaworth Lord of Ogmore and Kidwelly and Isabel De Beauchamp. She had a brother and five sisters, named Henry Grosment Plantagenet I Earl of, Blanche, Mary, Isabel, Joan and Maud.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died in Arundel, Sussex, England.  She was buried in Lewes Priory.


Eleanor's first family with John De Beaumont Earl of Buchan

They had a son and a daughter, named Henry De Beaumont III Lord and Maud.


Eleanor's second family with Richard Fitzalan 10th Earl of Arundel

They had two sons and two daughters, named Richard Fitz Alan XI Earl of, John FitzAlan of, Joan and Alice.
