Eleanor Plantagenet 
Eleanor was born in 1215 in Gloucester, England. Eleanor's father was John Lackland Plantagenet King of England and her mother was Isabella Taillefer de AngoulIme. Her paternal grandparents were Henry II Plantagenet de Anjou King of England and Eleanor de Aquitaine Dss de Aquitaine; her maternal grandparents were Aymer Taillefer de Valence Ct de AngoulIme and Alice de Courtenay. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Henry III Plantagenet, Richard of Cornwall, Joan and Isabella. She had fifteen half-brothers and eight half-sisters, named Oliver, Richard FitzJohn of Dover, Richard, Geoffrey, Sir John FitzJohn, Odo (Eudo), Ivo, Henry, Osbert, Hugh de Lusignan, Guy de Lusignan, Geoffrey le Brun, Sir William de Valence, Aymer Ademar de Valence, Henri de la Marche, Isabella, Joanna, Matilda, Alice, Isabella, Marguerite, Agnes and Isabella. She died at the age of 60 on April 13th, 1275 in Montargis Abbey, France.General Notes
REF: "Falls the Shadow" Sharon Kay Penman: After Evesham, Eleanor retired to a covent at Montargis Abbey which Simon's elder sister had founded. The Abbey is south of Paris. While there, she won the sympathy & support of Louis & Marguerite, much to Henry & Eleanor's (Eleanor Berenger, Henry's wife, was Marguerite Berenger, Louis's wife's sister) chagrin. Louis & Marguerite requested Henry to restore Eleanor's dower rights to her Pembroke estates, but Henry remained obdurate. Louis's welcome extended to her sons & daughter too. Llywelyn ap Gruffydd also extended the alliance he made with Simon to her & Simon's sons & offered herself & her family refuge in Wales. In May 1266, both her sons Guy & Bran were reunited with her & her daughter at Montargis. Guy had escaped from Dover Castle (he had been severely wounded at Evesham, then kept in close confinement), where sentiment ran very strongly in favor of Earl Simon.
