William Paynel , of Bampton

William was born about 1150 in Bampton, Tiverton, Devonshire, England. William's father was Fulk Paynel , of Bampton and his mother was Aude Abrincis. His paternal grandparents were William Paynel , of Bampton and Juliane de Bampton; his maternal grandfather was Gilbert de Abrincis. He had two sisters named Christiana (Paganel) and Gundred. He was the youngest of the three children. He died in 1228.
