Philip De was born about 1160 in Alvanley, Runcorn, Cheshire, England.  Philip De's father was Sir Herbert I De Orreby Sir and his mother was Agnes De Kyme.  His paternal grandparents were Alard De Orreby and Mrs. Alard 1110 Orreby; his maternal grandparents were Simon II De Kyme and Agnes De Lindsay. He had three brothers named John De, Richard Pulford De and Herbert II De.  He was the oldest of the four children.  He died about 1230.
