Gerberge was born in 0932. Gerberge's father was Giselbert DE LORRAINE and her mother was Princess/ Gerberge OF GERMANY. Her paternal grandparents were Count/ Rainer I DE HAINAULT and Albreda OF MONS; her maternal grandparents were King Henry I OF THE GERMANS Heinrick "The Fowler" and Saint Matilda OF RINGLEHEIM. She had a sister named Alberade. She was the older of the two children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Charles of Upper Lorraine and Matilde.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
They had two sons named Guy and Herbert III.
