Henry Count de was born about 0945 in Nevers, Nievre, Bourgogne, France. Henry Count de's father was Hugh Magnus , Count of Paris Duke of France and his mother was Hedwige of Saxony. His paternal grandparents were Robert I King of France and Beatrix de Vermandois; his maternal grandparents were Henry I "The Fowler" Saxony Holy Roman Emperor and Mathilda of Ringleheim. He had a brother and two sisters, named Hugh Capet King of, Beatrice Princess of and Emma. He was the youngest of the four children. He died in 1002.General Notes
At least one source has Henry's 1st? wife as the first husband of Maud/Matilda de Chalon, who later married Geoffrey of Semur. This marriage is disputed by nearly all other sources, but since nobody knows for sure, I am including Maud as Henry's first wife, and assuming a divorce of some sort.
